How Alemar Marketing s.r.o. collects, uses and protects personal data, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
Alemar Marketing s.r.o. (“the Company”, “we”, “us”) is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Our registered office and contact address are shown alongside this text, and our identification number (IČO) is 01475681.
We process personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”) and applicable Czech data protection legislation. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to do so under Article 37 GDPR. Data protection questions are handled by the Company at [email protected].
Personal data we collect
We only hold personal data that you give us yourself. We do not buy contact lists and we do not collect personal data from third-party sources.
Enquiries
If you write to us about our services — through the contact form or by email — you provide your name, your email address, and whatever you choose to include in your message. A separate, unticked checkbox on the contact form lets you also ask for the newsletter; leaving it unticked has no effect on your enquiry.
Newsletter subscription
If you subscribe to the newsletter you provide your name, your email address, and optionally the subject area that interests you. Subscription requires your explicit consent, given by ticking the consent box on the newsletter form.
Unsubscribe requests
If you unsubscribe, you provide the email address you want removed from the list.
Server logs
Our hosting provider's web server may record standard technical information as part of normal operation, such as IP address, browser type and the time of a request. This is a function of the hosting infrastructure rather than something this website collects for its own purposes.
How this website's forms currently work
The forms on this website are processed entirely in your browser. They validate what you type and show you a confirmation, but they do not transmit anything to us or to any third party. Until that changes, the way to reach us is email: [email protected]. When form submission is enabled, this policy will be updated before it goes live.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and this website is not directed at them.
Why we process it, and on what basis
- Answering enquiries — to receive, assess and reply to a question about our services. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to business correspondence (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Sending the newsletter — to send the marketing email you asked for. Lawful basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Handling unsubscribe requests — to remove an address from the list and to record that the request was made. Lawful basis: legal obligation, and our legitimate interest in being able to show that consent was withdrawn (Art. 6(1)(c) and 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Providing our services — to perform an agreement with a client, including contact details of the people we work with. Lawful basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Running and securing the website — to keep the site available and protect it from misuse. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in the secure operation of our own systems (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Giving us your data is voluntary. If you do not provide what a form asks for, we may not be able to answer your enquiry or send you the newsletter. We do not use personal data for automated decision-making or profiling.
Who has access
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data.
Personal data may be accessible to our hosting provider and, where applicable, to an email service provider used to deliver the newsletter — each acting as a processor on our instructions under a written data processing agreement. It may also be disclosed to professional advisers, or to competent authorities and courts, where we are legally required to do so.
Transfers outside the EEA
We aim to process personal data within the European Economic Area. Where a service provider processes data outside the EEA, we rely on an adequacy decision of the European Commission or on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us which safeguards apply to a particular service.
How long we keep it
- Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as it takes to deal with the enquiry and any resulting business relationship, and afterwards for the period required by applicable limitation and record-keeping rules.
- Newsletter subscriber data is kept until you withdraw consent, after which the address is removed from the mailing list.
- Records showing that consent was given and later withdrawn are kept for as long as we need them to demonstrate compliance.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure and loss. These include transport encryption for this website and limiting access to the people who need it. No method of transmitting data over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions set out in the GDPR, you have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- have processing restricted;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format; and
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it. To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected] or to our registered office. We respond without undue delay and in any event within one month, which may be extended where Article 12(3) GDPR permits it.
Marketing email and consent
We send marketing email only to people who have asked for it. The consent box on the newsletter form is never pre-ticked, and consent is never bundled with anything else — you can contact us, or work with us, without receiving marketing email.
You can withdraw consent at any time: through the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email, on our unsubscribe page, through the quick unsubscribe box in the footer of any page, or by emailing us. Unsubscribing removes you from the marketing list; it does not delete correspondence about a service enquiry.
Cookies and third-party resources
This website does not set cookies of its own, and it does not use analytics, advertising or tracking technologies.
Pages on this site load web fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those files, the provider necessarily receives your IP address and standard request information. No other third-party service is embedded in these pages.
Separately from this website, our client work involves advertising and analytics platforms operated by third parties. Those are governed by the agreement with the client concerned and by that client's own privacy notice, not by this policy.
Complaints
If you think our processing of your personal data breaches data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the Czech Republic this is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů). You may also complain to the supervisory authority where you live or work within the EU.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy, for example to reflect a change in how we process data or in applicable law. The date shown alongside this text is when it was last revised. Material changes affecting marketing email will be reflected here before they take effect.
